A very warm spell throughout the UK has made winter climbing, especially on ice, a bit problematical for the last few weeks.
Here in central Norway the warmth has stripped away snow cover, but left spring like conditions with the sort of ice often found on a good year on the north face of Ben Nevis in mid to late April.
Overnight frosts, but daytime highs of 4 - 10 centigrade has made for slightly drippy conditions, but the ice is softer when it's like this, less brittle, and usually very pleasant to climb. Some highlights, in no particular order, from the last few days:
